Prevention is the point.

There is almost no prevention programming in Cedar Rapids built specifically for Black adolescent girls. What exists is largely reactive — designed for young people who have already entered a system, already been defined by a label, already been failed.

H.E.R. is different. We are upstream. We meet Black girls before a crisis arrives — with leadership development, cultural affirmation, and real skills for real life.

Your donation isn't funding a safety net. It's funding the infrastructure that means fewer girls ever need one.

"There is a generation of Black girls in Cedar Rapids right now who are capable of extraordinary things. This funding is an invitation to be part of what we are building — before the harvest, while the seeds are still going in the ground."
